USDA may require use of non-fossil fuels WASHINGTON (AP) The Agriculture Department (USDA) says heating with solar power and other non-fossil fuels may be required in all homes financed by the Farmers Home Administration after 1980. The department said Monday that it is developing preliminary home design plans that would include wood and geothermal heating systems.
